Operation Shower

In the last few weeks, I have been on the lookout for non-profits to volunteer with and I came across this awesome non-profit, too bad it is based in St. Louis.  It is called Operation Shower and their mission is to "throw amazing baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment."  How much fun would that be to help package shower boxes, set-up all the pretty decor and goodies for the event, AND get to meet the amazing women behind the men that are serving our country!?

Volunteering at the event or packaging shower boxes would be ideal, but being in California when they are based in St. Louis doesn't work too well.  Even my crazy summer of baseball travels doesn't land me super close to STL but maybe they'll be throwing a shower somewhere in the vicinity of Bryan's next team. Anyways, they did say they are throwing a shower in San Diego in January...hmmm maybe I can take my much needed trip to visit my So Cal loves Ashley and Jill in January! Hey Southwest, any deals to SD?!

They also just announced a project with Operation Give Thanks which sounds like so much fun...who doesn't love to throw a party?!!  They are asking people across the nation to host a party, big or small, between now and the end of the year to raise money for Operation Shower.  For more information on party ideas and FREE printables to make it even easier to throw a party click here!

I hope I can get a party together, maybe my birthday or maybe NYE?!! =) I'll have to chat with my sis because she's the chef of our parties to see what we can do!
